Edward E. Wardwell, SR, 77, died early Monday morning February 8th at the Veterans Hospital in White River Jct. following a long illness.

He was born on January 6, 1939 in Hanover, New Hampshire the son of Ernest M. and Verna (Jillson) Wardwell.

Known as the Mountain Man from Barnard Edward graduated from Woodstock High School in 1957. He went on to serve in the United States Navy for 10 years. Edward returned home in 1966 and went to work for Voice and Vision in Lebanon, NH. Following his years at Voice and Vision Edward worked as a handyman, as a logger, and doing both property and cemetery maintenance.

Edward had great talent for creating art and enjoyed using these abilities to pass the time and to give things to others. He also enjoyed ice fishing, hunting, and being a football fan.

He is survived by his wife of 52 years Dottie (Dulac), his 2 daughters; Jody Guerin and Sandy Morgan, his 3 sons; Edward "Joe-Pete" Jr., Marty, and John, several grandchildren, great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to Edward's parents and 2 brothers he was predeceased by his youngest son Ernest just 7 months ago who he missed every day.

A graveside service will be held in the Prosper Cemetery this spring.
