Obituary

Edward H. Forrest of Woodstock, VT passed away Thursday August 7, 2014. Born may 15, 1965 in Lowell MA the son of Charles and Ruth Forrest, Edward was raised in Kennebunkport, Maine. After receiving an Architectural and Fine Arts Degree from Rhode Island School of Design, Edward moved to St. John Virgin Islands where he met his partner, Randy Paxton. Together they owned and operated The Little Flower Shoppe and Crystal & Bark Design in Highlands, NC for 16 years before moving their business to Woodstock in 2007.
Edwards talents knew no limits. He enjoyed working in a variety of mediums and loved to share his artistic ideas through photography, paintings and floral demonstrations. he was known for his pumpkin carvings, each year creating a masterpiece for all to enjoy. Edward was a kind and gentle soul. More than anything, he loved his animals and always gave a home to a stray. Edward is survived by his partner Randy Paxton of Woodstock, VT; two brothers, Captain Charles Marshall Forrest III of Port Charlotte, FL, and William Drury Forrest of Greenwich, CT; sister Anne Forrest Raynor of Kennebunkport, ME nephew Kyle Clinton Raynor and nieces Isabella Julian Forrest and Lilianna Hayes Forrest.
A memorial service will be held at a later date. Should friends desire, memorial contributions may be made to the Lucy MacKenzie Humane Society in Winsdor, VT.
