Dorothy R. Tallarico, 88, died on December 29, 2015 at Mission Hospital Regional Medical Center in Mission Viejo, California. She passed peacefully surrounded by her four children, after having spent Christmas with her children, grandchildren, family and friends.

Dorothy was born on September 25, 1927 in Belfast, Northern Ireland, the daughter of Charles Russell and Isabel Russell. She grew up in Belfast, Northern Ireland, and emigrated to the United States in the '50s.

Dorothy was an executive assistant in Belfast, and worked at the Woodstock Developmental Center in Woodstock, Vermont. Dorothy lived in Woodstock since 1964 with her husband Alan (deceased) and her children.

Dorothy is survived by her four children; Stephanie Tallarico, Alan Tallarico, Jennifer Tallarico and Diane Tallarico Wood of Mission Viejo, California, and Alexandria, Virginia; and four grandchildren Chad Tallarico, Julie Tallarico Ruth, and Spencer and Nichole Wood. Her parents predeceased her.

Dorothy loved spending time with and caring for her family/children, gardening, tennis, golf, reading, and crossword puzzles. She also loved traveling with her husband Alan, their long walks along River Road, and traveling to California to spend time with her children and grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday July 30, 2016 at 11:00am at the St. James Episcopal Church in Woodstock.

Memorial donations may be made to the charity of one's choice.
