Obituary

David Paul "Crockett" Rushford of South Reading, VT passed away unexpectedly at the age of 50 on December 26th, 2016 surrounded by loved ones. He was born on February 2nd, 1966 in Randolph, VT to Earl Rushford and Dolores (Palmer) Daubenspeck. He attended Woodstock Union High School where he met the love of his life Teena Marie "Peaches" Clogston. He loved to cook, make pickles, and homemade wine. He was an avid guitar player, song writer, hunter and fisherman and fancied himself a gunfighter. He was the jack of all trades. He was a loving father, grandfather and lifelong partner. He loved to crack jokes, make people laugh, and hand out ridiculous nicknames. He was also quite the storyteller. He is survived by his life long partner of 26 years, Teena of South Reading, VT. Three daughters, Brierley Christine Harlow-Rushford of Vergennes, VT, Amnesty Nicole Clogston-Rushford of South Reading, VT, and Victoria Elizabeth Rushford of Woodstock, VT. Along with their significant others, David Pullman Jr., Austin Martin and Tyler Audsley, and one grandson Izayah Joseph Rushford. He is also survived by his mother, one brother, two sisters and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and many life long friends. David was predeceased by his father, two sisters, one brother, and several close friends. Services will be determined at a later date. In lieu of flowers please donate to St. Judes Hospital for Children or Cleft lip and Pallet Association.
