David R. Burton, 73, died September 16, 2016 the UVM Medical Center in Burlington, Vermont.

David was born on July 5, 1943 in Springfield, Vermont the son of Alan and Alice (McFarlane) Burton.

He graduated from Black River High School in Ludlow in 1961. He spent most of his life as a long distance truck driver and as a driver for Construction companies.

David is survived by his wife of 44 years, Bonita (Fenton) Burton, his son Scott D. Burton, 2 step-children Bonnie Stowell and Charles Drinwater, 4 grandchildren; Camden, Skylar, Brendin, and Searra, and his niece Cindy Gerard.

A memorial visitation will be held Saturday July 26th from 2:00pm to 4:00pm at the Cabot Funeral Home in Woodstock, Vermont.
