Clara H. Hoisington, 95, died Saturday afternoon April 29, 2017 at the Brookside Nursing Home in White River Jct., Vermont.

Clara was born on January 14, 1922 in Chester, Vermont the daughter of Roy and Gladys (Royce) Foster.

After her marriage to Clifford they moved to Plymouth, VT and three years later to Bridgewater Corners, Vermont where she lived all her life. Clara was dedicated to raising her family but also found time to help others. She will be well remembered for her years of volunteer work at the Developmental Center in Woodstock where she received an award from Senator Stafford for her good work.

Clara is survived by her 7 children; Louis of Quicksburg, VA, Leonard of West Hartford, VT, Alice of Quechee, VT, Ellen of West Lebanon, NH, Wayne of White River Jct., VT, Peggy of South Royalton, VT, and Randy of Wilder, VT, 17 grandchilren, 28 great grandchildren, and 6 great great grandchildren. In addition to her parents she is pre deceased by her husband, a son Clayton, a grandson, a great grandson, 2 brothers, and 4 sisters.

Visiting hours will be held on Wednesday evening May 3rd from 6 to 8 pm at the Cabot Funeral Home in Woodstock. A funeral service will be held on Thursday morning at 10am at the Bethany Mennonite Church in Bridgewater Corners followed by burial in the Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in Bridgewater, VT.
