Charlotte Coretta Maxham, 93, died at her home in Hartland Saturday evening January 31, 2015.
Charlotte was born on December 13, 1921 in Quechee, Vermont the daughter of Ernest and Vina (Darling) Strong.
She married Maxwell "Bun" Maxham on September 8, 1940 in Brownsville, Vermont. Charlotte was a dedicated farm wife and mother living on the same Hartland farm for the last 60 years. In addition to the dairy farm the Maxham's have run a successful Maple Sugaring business shipping syrup all over the world. Charlotte was a cub scout leader, ran a Bed and Breakfast for seasonal hunters and enjoyed writing poetry.
Charlotte is survived by her husband of 74 years, her son Tim and his wife Peggy of Hartland, her daughter Judy and her husband Jean Helie of Hillsboro, NH, her son Wade of Hartland, her daughter Wendy and husband Curt Barr of South Woodstock, many grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren, 9 siblings; Lorraine Kruse, Francis Drury, Bunny Strong, George Strong, Roger Strong, Kenny Strong, Sylvia Doten, Steve Strong, and Ernest Strong. She is pre deceased by a granddaughter Robin Angela Beauregard, a brother Stanley Strong, and two sisters Mabel Saunders and Rosie Richardson.
There will be no services at this time. A graveside service in the Hartland Village Cemetery at a later date.
