Carroll F. Earle, 85, died Sunday evening November 17th at Cedar Hill Health Care in Windsor, Vermont.
Carroll was born on November 21, 1927 in Bridgewater, Vermont the son of Clifford N. and Vera (Furman) Earle.
Carroll was a Veteran of the Korean War. He had a number of jobs locally including; driving a school bus, delivering sawdust, working for Putnam Construction, a mail carrier for the postal service, but most of all he was a proud dairy farmer. Carroll enjoyed being a sugar maker. He also found time to ski, skate, roller skate, be an avid Red Sox fan, and a great dancer. In 2002 he was named Bridgewater's citizen of the year.
Carroll is survived by his wife of 56 years Doris (Billings) Earle, his 5 children; Linda Scott-Andrews and her husband Rodney Andrews, Debora and James Oldenburg Jr, Tammi Earle and her partner Robert Berg, Edwin P. and his wife Tammy Earle, and Carolsue and her husband William Hannabury, 14 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren, his brother Robert Earle, and extended family Robin and Bob Ennis. He is pre deceased by his parents, 4 siblings; Florence Frost, Nadia Geno, Earnest Earle, and Marilyn Blodgett, and a grandson Mark G. Earle.
A memorial visitation will be held on Thursday evening November 21st from 6 to 8 pm at the Cabot Funeral Home in Woodstock. A funeral service will be held on Friday November 22nd at 11:00 am at the Bethany Mennonite Church in Bridgewater Corners. Burial will follow in the Topliff Cemetery.
