Calvin Barnes Dana, 18, died unexpectedly in Bridgewater Center on March 6, 2012.
Calvin was born May 3, 1993 in Lebanon, New Hampshire the son of Dalene Washburn and David Dana.
Calvin grew up in Pomfret and attended The Pomfret School. He finished high school early, receiving early admission to Johnson and Wales University and graduating with his class in 2011 from Woodstock Union High School. In the fall he went to Johnson and Wales to study the music business. At age twelve he worked in the Showcase Video store. Later he was employed by the Allechante restaurant, and then by Sound Town as an audio engineer at events. This winter he worked for Killington as a snow maker and loved it. Calvin loved the outdoors and especially winter activity, also trucks and chickens. He was an independent thinker, a hard worker, had a great sense of humor, and was loved by many.
Calvin is survived by his mother Dalene Washburn of Woodstock, VT his father David Dana of East Randolph, VT, a sister Alexandra Washburn of Salem, NH and his grandmother Patricia Thrasher of Bellevue, Washington.
A service to celebrate his life will be held on Sunday March 11, 2012 at 4 o'clock at the Unitarian Universalist Church in Woodstock.
