Bruce Rodney Paglia, 83, passed away at his home early Friday morning July 17, 2026.

Bruce was born on December 31, 1942 in Hanover, NH the son of Elio A. and Dorothy Hathorn Paglia.

Bruce grew up in Woodstock with his 3 bothers and graduated from Woodstock Union High School in the class of 1961. Bruce worked at Tracy’s Garage, The Woodstock National Bank, the Bridgewater Woolen Mill, and Cones Blanchard Machine Co.. For over 60 years and currently still doing so Bruce did tax preparation and accounting for a number of families and businesses.

He enjoyed both hunting and fishing including a number of fishing trips to Canada and the Connecticut Lakes with family and friends. In recent years he brought his grandchildren Cassie and Jacob hunting in North Carolina. Bruce enjoyed living on the family farm in Bridgewater Corners and could be found running the tractor and cutting hay.

Bruce is survived by his wife of 62 years, Alice Townsend Paglia, his daughter Kathleen, two grandchildren Jacob and Cassie, and great granddaughter Alice as well as a number of nieces nephews and cousins. In addition to his parents he is pre deceased by his son Jonathan, three brothers; Jim, Jerry, and Rick, and 2 nieces; Nancy and Patricia.

Visiting hours will be held on Wednesday July 22nd from 5:00p to 7:00pm at the Cabot Funeral Home in Woodstock. A graveside service will be held on Thursday July 23rd at 11:00am in the Top Liff Cemetery on RT 100A in Bridgewater Corners.
