Obituary

Blanchard (B.) Randall IV passed away unexpectedly at his home in Frederick, MD on September 14, 2015. He was the eldest son of the late Lorraine (Manny) and Blanchard Randall III. He is survived by his daughter Currier and her husband Richard Von Trapp, Currier's mother Patricia Ayers, his siblings Victoria Randall, Roy Randall and Romaine Randall, as well as his niece Whitney Gortner and nephew Ross Gortner, his wife Mary Newman and their children Elizabeth and Thomas.

Blanchard was born in Baltimore, MD on October 30, 1948, was later raised in Charleston, WV, and his family spent summers and retired in Woodstock, VT. He graduated high school from Kimble Union Academy in New Hampshire and attended classes at American University. He served two years in the US Marine Corps, during the Vietnam War. After, he settled in Bethesda, MD working for the Congressional Research Service of the Library of Congress as a research analyst of pharmaceuticals and the pharmaceutical industry. Upon retirement, he moved to Frederick, MD, enjoying the "small town" community nature of its neighborhoods. He will be remembered for his community service picking up litter on his daily long walks.

The funeral will be held Sat. October 10, 2015 at 11:00 am at the S. Barnard Cemetery, Lakota Rd., Woodstock, VT, followed by a luncheon at the Barnard Inn, Route 12, Barnard, VT.
