Betsy Biathrow Taylor passed away surrounded by her family on February 9, 2022 just two months after her husband.
Betsy was born in Bridgewater, VT and raised in Reading, VT. At a young age she developed a love of animals spending summers on her aunt's farm with her horses. She was an avid horse person in her teenage years. Working on Serenity Farm in South Woodstock with her dad. She adopted and cared for countless dogs all "additional children" to her family.
Betsy spent her later years caring for the elderly. She worked in nursing homes and later as a private caregiver. She was a meticulous and passionate caregiver.
She spent countless hours hunting and fishing with her late husband. She loved the challenge of a good jigsaw puzzle, hand knitting and her grandchildren. Each of them held a special place in her heart.
She leaves her children, Katie Taylor of Reading, VT Laurie Harkins of Cavendish, VT Jason Pickielnok of Cavendish, VT her stepson Robb Taylor of Hartland, VT grandchildren Sean, Makiya, Chloe and Gavin, Jacob, Zachary and Morgan , Sophia and Adalaide . Her parents Murry and Anna Biathrow of South Reading, VT a brother Philip Biathrow of Hartland, VT and sisters Mary Biathrow of Woodstock VT and Linda Markwell of North Pomfret, VT. She was predeceased by her husband Robert and two brothers John and Michael.
Betsy was so blessed to have exquisite care from her daughter Katie and fiance, a wonderful caregiver – Ashley Brown and an AMAZING TEAM of nurses and health care providers from Bayada. The final chapter of her life was complete and peaceful because of these individuals.
Memorial contributions can be made to Bayada 316 Main Street Unit EH-6 Norwich, VT 05055. Services will be at the convenience of the family.
