Barbara Campbell White's Obituary
Barbara Campbell White passed away peacefully at The Meadows in Rutland, Vermont on January 8, 2012. She was lovingly cared for in her final days by the wonderful staff.
Barbara is survived by her son Fred Bradley and his wife Marilyn Trapeni of Middletown Springs, VT, grandson Eric Bradley and his wife Michele of West Rutland, VT, granddaughter Michele Britain of Forestdale, VT, and Barbara's 5 great grandchildren; Robyn, Lindsey, Joshua, Kayla, and Alyssa. In addition to her parents she is pre deceased by her husbands; Frederick Bradley, Raymond Chamberlain, and Harlan White, and a brother Norman Campbell.
Barbara graduated from Woodstock Union High School in 1940 and has been involved with her class alumni ever since. She helped to organize the yearly reunions for many years.
Barbara worked for the Vermont Extension Service in Woodstock for 20 years and Gerrish Motors for another 18 years.
She enjoyed camping in New England in the 1950's, 1960's and the 1970's with Raymond, Fred, and grandchildren. Later with Harlan they explored the beautiful Wells, Maine beaches.
Barbara spent her life as a loving caregiver for her family. She supported her brother, Norman, who had Down's syndrome. She attended all of Fred's sporting events throughout the state as well as thriving with him through his graduation at Ithaca College. Her mother and father were able to remain in their home because of her daily caregiver assistance. Both her second and third husbands required her caretaking prior to their deaths.
Barbara has now passed to her well-deserved rest. We are sure she is with her loved feline companion; Tinker. Barbara, Mom: We honor you. May you dance and laugh until we meet again.
Services will be held at Riverside Cemetery in Woodstock, Vermont in the spring. There will be a notice prior to the service. In lieu of flowers; please make donations to Rutland Area Visiting Nurse and Hospice in Rutland, Vermont.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Cabot Funeral home in Woodstock, VT. Condolences may be offered by visiting cabotfh.com
