Angeline Henrietta Bogumil Sparks, 96 passed away in her sleep on February 20, 2017 at the Pines in Rutland, Vermont.
Angeline was born February 9, 1921 in Camden, NJ to Polish immigrants who came to America for a better life. She married Warren Sparks on November 10, 1949 who was in the Navy at the time. She was a great support to Warren in his navy career and later when he worked in the insurance industry.
Angeline's greatest happiness was raising her five children and spending time with her grandchildren. She was a devoted wife and mother, timelessly tending to all their needs. She once commented, "her children were her flowers in life".
Angeline was blessed with many gifts; sewing, baking, cooking, knitting, decorating, and making her house a home. She went through many challenges in life which gave her a lot of compassion for others.
It was not uncommon for Angeline to knit or crochet baby clothes for ones that needed it; to give rides to others, to help bring meals to the sick, and comfort the discouraged.
She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She received a lot of happiness from being a member and she made some wonderful friendships there.
She is survived by her husband Warren G. H. Sparks who resides in West Woodstock, VT, her children; Lea Ann Harrill of Albuquerque, NM, Joseph Prelas of Troy, NH, Janet (Jenny) C. Sparks of West Woodstock, VT/Rome, NY, Kathleen E. Coleman and son in law Vernon H. Coleman of Bethel, VT, as well as many grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren. She would have been blessed with another second great great grandchild in July had she survived
She was pre deceased by her parents, Siblings, daughter Joyce J. Prelas, a grandson Joseph Prelas and a grandson in law Mickey Smith.
The family would like to express their deep felt gratitude to the wonderful staff at the Pines of Rutland where she resided for the past four years. They gave her excellent care and showed her a great deal of love.
