Allen
Ballou
September 19, 1985 – June 6, 2024
Allen J. Ballou II (AJ or Punk to his dad) was born on September 19, 1985 to Allen Ballou and Lorraine Handy. He died unexpectedly on June 6th, 2024 from smoke inhalation in a fire in Charlestown, NH.
AJ was a lot of things: a son, brother, father, uncle, grandson, nephew, cousin, and friend. AJ cared so much more than he wanted anybody to know. If somebody needed help, he would be there (he might complain depending on what it was). AJ helped his late uncle Mike, his dad (Allen) and a few others build Mike's house. AJ re-did his grandmother Beverly's floors. He helped his grandfather, Paul Ballou work on his 18-wheeler and multiple other vehicles. AJ helped his father and step mother Bobbi after their home burned. AJ was a jack of all trades. He was great at working on all types of vehicles (a love, hate relationship).
Growing up AJ spent quite a bit of time in an 18-wheeler with his dad. He really loved going all over the road. He loved traveling in general. AJ played football and hockey. He did karate and so many other things. Anybody that knew AJ, knew his happiest days of his life were the days his daughters were born. AJ was blessed with 3 beautiful daughters, because God knew he'd protect them. He was completely ecstatic when his nephews were born. They were "unc's boys". AJ absolutely loved kids. It didn't matter who's baby it was, you would always find them sleeping on "unc's" chest. Once they got older, he turned them into adrenaline junkies. There was just something about him that kids and animals loved.
AJ is survived by his parents Allen Ballou and Lorraine Handy, paternal grandparents Paul Ballou and Diane Cavanough, maternal grandmother Beverly Soule, sister Katrina Ballou, half-brother Lucas Getman, 3 daughters Kearsten, Jillianne, and Laura Ballou, 3 nephews Bryan, Colby, and Alex, several great aunts, great uncles, and cousins.
He is predeceased by maternal grandfather Charles Soule III, Aunts Lisa Soule and Jessica Cavanaugh, his maternal and paternal great grandparents, Uncles Mike Kendall and Robert Bushey Jr.
