Alice B. Riley Anderson of Brownsville, Vermont passed away suddenly on July 3, 2016 at her home in Brownsville.

She is survived by her two sons; Tom Anderson (Janie) of Florida, Michael Anderson (Renee) of Florida, her twin sister Mary Dearborn of Beverly MA and sister Laura Knowlton of Grafton, VT. Known as Memaw or Mems by her 4 grandchildren; Brooke, Courtney, Allie, and Faith, 2 step-grand children; Miles and Martha and her niece Julia. She is also survived by her two dogs George and Hawkeye. She is pre deceased by her brother Steve Riley.

Alice is a graduate of Mary C. Wheeler School in Providence, RI. Alice spent the better part of 30 years raising her boys in Florida where she was an insurance Auditor. She retired to Vermont to enjoy the cold winters, good friends and her dogs.

Alice volunteered for the following organizations; Vermont Adaptive, Vermont 100 Race, Vermont 50 Race, and the Brownsville Fire Department.

A graveside service will be held on Friday, July 8th at 1:00pm in the Sheddsville Cemetery in Brownsville followed by a reception at the family home at 164 John Meyers Road, Brownsville.
