Alfred was born on in 1953, at St.Mary's Hospital in Waterbury, CT to parents Oliver and Mary Bouteiller. He was a high school graduate from Wilcox Technical and received extensive training in the military. He served in the United States Army and National Guard, with a discharge from the Army on March 2, 1989, and from the Army National Guard of Connecticut on October 29, 1978.

He was married to the love of his life, Dorothy V. Bouteiller, and together with family and friends shared a passion for riding and site seeing on their Harleys. He found joy in working on his bikes and cars, collecting old cars, and fishing. He was a dedicated mechanic who worked in the auto mechanic industry, with his last employment at Penny saver & NSK.

He is survived by his loving wife Dolly, his sister Sandy, brothers Tommy and Danny his children Alfred, Samatha, and Nichole, and his step-children Jill and Chad. He was predeceased by his parents, Oliver Bouteiller Sr. and Mary Bouteiller, his brothers Ollie, and John and sister Cindy.
