Alan A. Dubeau, 63, passed away on Wednesday afternoon December 26, 2018 surrounded by his wife and family.
Alan was born on August 27, 1955 in Providence, Rhode Island. Alan served in the Navy from 1972 to 1975. After leaving the Navy, Alan attended Johnson & Wales University in Providence, RI and East Coast Aerospace Center (MA), then pursued a career in a field that he loved as a Charter boat captain running fishing charters out of Point Judith, Rhode Island until he moved to Woodstock in 1989. Alan later went on to work at DHMC and became operations manager of central sterile and worked there for over 11 years.
Alan and his wife Patricia raised their children Melinda and Christopher in Woodstock, VT. Alan is survived by his wife of 35 years Patricia, his son Christopher and daughter Melinda. Also granddaughters Kali, Zoey, and grandson Holden. Alan also leaves behind a sister Denise Wolf, brothers David and Ronald Dubeau and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
To say that Alan Dubeau was a good man would be an understatement. Alan was well respected, sincere, straight-forward and, reliable. He was his daughters idol and his sons best friend. He was an active grandparent and loving and devoted husband, also a wonderful role model to his children and grandchildren.
Alan would like to thank the Woodstock community, Town Hall, Woodstock and Springfield Fire Departments, Gillinghams, the Vermont Spot and many many others for the support and friendship that has been given to their son Christopher Dubeau, Alan's best friend!
There will be another notice in the Vermont Standard when services will be held this spring at the Vermont Memorial Veterans Cemetery in Randolph, VT.
