Adelia "D" Kraus, 59, died at her home on Monday evening April 11, 2011.

"D" grew up in Canton, Connecticut and began her career as a ski instructor in the Connecticut area. She moved to Vermont where she was both a ski instructor and assistant director of the Suicide Six Ski School for many years.

"D" spent her summers working in her gardens and the gardens of many others in the area. She had a passionate love for all animals and a soft spot for her cats.

"D" leaves her companion Simon Walker of Woodstock and the many friends she touched through skiing, gardening, and visiting in the area.
